1. !!
:loveya: :yourock: :loveya:

I like this one even better than "What's Opera Doc?"

True: A year or so ago the classical station was playing the overture to 'The Barber of Seville' and I sang practically the whole cartoon. :D

3. IMO, that's the greatest large-studio cartoon of all time
Those were the glory days of Warner Brothers animation. Chuck Jones was without peer as a director, as was Carl Stalling as a music director. WB had the best animators in the business and the writers were absolutely marvelous with satire.

5. Took me a minute to remember that one
As soon as the title came up, I went, "Oh, yeah!"

I shall now proceed to watch it, as I haven't seen it in forever, and the part where Bugs leaves his hand in the air while the tenor busts a gut holding the note is one of the all-time cartoon classics. :D

10. My opinion of Giovanni Jones has changed from when I was a kid. Back then, I just
thought he was the typical jerk that Bugs was always getting the better of. When I saw the cartoon again as an adult, I decided that there is something slightly heroic about Giovanni Jones. The professional pride. Here's a guy who would let the Hollywood Bowl collapse on top of him rather than disappoint Leopold Stokowski. Or who he thinks is Leopold Stokowski, anyway. There's something admirable about that...

8. Don't look so perplexed,
Why must you be vexed?
Can't you see you're next?
Yes! You're next!
You're so next!

Welcome to my shop.
Let me cut your mop.
Let me shave your crop,
Da-a-ain-ti-lee!

Love it... B-)
