I have burn marks where my eyebrows used to be. DU used to be such a friendly place (I think).

5. that's it, they analyze every word, every facial expression and then decide how
offensive it is and how everyone is against Obama. Chris Mathews could sneeze and they'd swear he said Obama is the anti-Christ.

15. It pretty much is
It's a bad show that is on at MSNBC from 6-9am. Nobody outside of political junkies watch it and everyday Joe or Mika say something that make the entire place over there go fucking nuts in the morning.

Go there around 7:30 am sometime.

20. I'll try it sometime when I'm coming off a midnight shift.
I get off midnights at 6:00, and I'm usually pretty loopy if I'm still up at 7:00. That sounds like it might be a good frame of mind to be in for that show.

63. It kinda is. Joe is the bullying hubby and Mika is the cowering abused wife.
She drinks to soothe her pain. Occasionally, Joe goes off the beam and starts yelling obscenities. It gets ugly. Sometimes Barbara Boxer comes on and snarks at Mika. Mika's Dad comes over to visit and verbally humiliates Joe. A couple of old white guys in the neighborhood come over to snark about blacks and welfare recipients. Occasionally, they have really nice, smart people over to visit, but you have to sit through the rest to see that part.

I used to read the forums after each Lost and West Wing episode and after awhile it got insane there. Those people spend so much time talking to eachother about the same episodes that suddenly they think they're the biggest experts on all things TV. It got to the point that each new episode was "The worst one ever!!!1!! I'm am so done with this series!!1!!11!" and "OMG!!! Did you hear what Josh Lyman said?? That was SOOO a shoutout to us!!!! Aaron Sorkin MUST read this forum every day!!!"

One thing that annoys me about that forum is the way some posters bicker over semantics. I get tired of trying to choose just the right words, then having them misinterpreted. I think some of it is intentional, just to be argumentative.

(If this post was in GD: P, someone would probably pick it apart in a smart-assed reply.)
