52. Thanks Salmon!! We put words in her mouth all the time around here...

...the biggest trip is my Hubby (a daily DU lurker - he's hassled me for several Sunday's now to post her on here - I had no clue about this thread). Hubby was NEVER into kittehs at all. Clover adopted us when her owners abandoned her next door (how could they?) She arrived here on a Sunday morning so this is very fitting for her!

She does so many adorable (and naughty too) things around here - and then we put the words in her mouth, so to speak but I don't have the caption thing in me.....yet?

Yesterday we planted veggies in the new 'garden' she thought OH big litter box! And decided to pee, good thing the hose was handy - sounds mean but she has the entire yard to use she doesn't need to use the garden box LOL (we need to put up the wire still, cat pee will KILL plants quick) not to mention we have a 'doggie/kitty' door that is open for a good 17 hours a day so they are able to go in and out all day/night long until it's bed time and we lock the house up. The look on her face when she came running inside to 'kiss and make up' with me after the 'hose' incident was priceless, as I've NEVER had to really tell her off like that before.

Most cats won't kiss ass - boy did she kiss mine though! All lovey dovey etc. after that and she's avoided the garden. We have planted cat-nip and other 'lovelys' she likes to sniff at A LOT all over the yard in areas away from the garden box, so she's not missing out!

Anything I can do to keep cats etc out of the garden that's 'au natural' please let me know - for example, marigolds planted around strawberries keep the bugs off the fruit. (who'd a thought)!

She won't go near the drumsticks she chewed when she first came to us, in fact she likes to sit almost in my lap when I'm working out with them.

....sorta green, sorta yellow!

AND a HUGE LOL on a four legged groupie! Mine just suckles a spot on my chair cushion and as soon as I get up from the seat - she jumps in it.

I already fight with 2 teen boys about my computer chair, and now I've a cat 'jumping into my grave' so to speak! :rofl:

Hopefully, with my 19yr olds help (he LOVES to garden) we will have a very nice one this year. My main interest is for making 'teas' that are relaxing and may even give you a bit o'the buzz! I grow things like sage (saliva) catnip, lemon balm, mint and another one that starts with M :smoke: to use the leaves for different tea and tea blends. I plan to expand this a little further - anyone has info on other 'easy' growing herbs for tea (NE FL a zone that changes every year) let me know please.

With a chronic pain/fatigue issue from a car accident I'm always looking for new ways to help pain without just adding more pharmaceutical pain medication - I get plenty of that already!

Sage leaves do make a nice relaxing tea with just a hint of a buzz - salvia divinorium (sp) actually has a similar chemical make up to opiates and acts as an opiate agonist in the brain (like morphine, oxycontin etc)when drank as a tea! I've been having a little issue finding the divinorium, there are so many types of sage available - the closest I have is mexican sage. When they sell it, they will never put that it's divinorium, so I wonder how I can tell if it's the same or not :shrug:
