I have a few crocus (croci?) pushing their way through last year's oak leaves. I still have to get out there and do some raking! I also have some pussy willows. The daffodils are just getting buds.

15. it is Iris Season in my yard, and Bluebonnet season in Texas


not in my yard of course, just laying around the roadside all over Texas

some of my iris, which are currently in bloom. These pictures are from prior years but they come back faithfully every spring.

I think of it as getting lucky, but that is so nice to hear. Most of those I got on a late afternoon rushing around to get the shots before sundown.

How do you like our bluebonnets? I think the first settlers to Texas must have come in the spring, the women saw the wildflowers and said 'We're staying here".....




and then summer came and they said 'Why the hell did I think I wanted to come HERE?'
