1. I thought the story line sounded interesting.
What, besides the fact that Nicholas Cage couldn't act wet if he fell in the ocean, was the worst part of it?

3. Spoiler...
it was the overwhelming fundie influenced Left Behind over tone to the whole thing. Especially, the last 20 minutes.

It sucks you in with some good action sequences, although it did start off slow, but then the joke is given up when it's found out that Cages father is a Pastor whom he doesn't speak to. Uh oh, I thought.

The world is slated to vaporize in a massive solar flare, but aliens that masquerade as white supremacists are out to only save those who "hear" their message. If you hear it, you are one of the chosen few.

The ending winds up in, and I'm not kidding, a total Adam and Eve down to the tree of knowledge bullshit.

I have to do some research on the creationists/intelligent design tool that wrote this stinking pile of a script.

2. I watched it last night too.
And posted about how bad it was. The only redeeming feature is that they had the good taste to feature MY CAR in it. The woman drove an Mazda 3 hatch the same color as mine. Other than that it pretty much sucked.

5. I agree, it was awful.
the only cool thing was the plane crash. LOL other than that, I was watching for some tool in the audience to stand up and yell, "take me now!!"

That was a paycheck movie for cage.

13. It's sad, because he might've become a decent actor...
But it seems like he just doesn't give a crap anymore.

Or he's sunk so low that he's not getting any decent scripts.

6. You really had to find that out the hard way?
I could have saved you the time and money and told you it sucks.

10. I know, I had a major lapse of sanity.
I read nothing about it, and went primarily for the effects.

I have to go boil my eyes now.

8. Sounds pretty fear based.
Hear our message or die with the shit. They like to throw those undertones into movies sometimes. People buy into it.

11. It totally was fear based.
someone made money off of this. Sadly, like everything else in this economy, the people going to see this movie will lose theirs.

It was a really good premise and could have been a great movie if someone had only thought to rewrite the entire plot. :(
