As far as the wedding band goes, I know a lot of players that play with their rings on just fine, but I never could get used to it. You just have to try it and see.

And yeah, that will affect your guitar playing. Badly. Because you have to play such sucky "music."

On a related note, however, my first ex-wife used to say "I wish you'd put that guitar down and pay some attention to ME ..." So yeah, THAT kind of wedding band can also affect your playing.
