Anyone see "Last Chance Harvey", one of Dustin Hoffman's
recent movies? With Emma Thompson? I saw a trailer for it last September, it looked interesting, and then never saw it released in theaters.

Was it any good? I'm so damn sick of bad adventure movies, rehashed spy movies, slasher movies and Disney movies I could scream. Any interesting, no-or-minimal-car-chase movies out there?

1. It was so-so.
I know that many people would call it boring. The only reason I didn't find it boring is because the two are my very favorite actors.

2. I enjoyed it, but it's predictable. Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson made it
very watchable. A good rainy day chick flick.

3. It's sweet, not a lot happens

But since it has Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson in it, not a lot really needs to happen, since their interaction can actually carry the movie. It's just a sweet, fairly predictable romance, but those two actors make it worthwhile, if you're into that kind of film.

4. Doubt was very good, if you didn't see that...

Benjamin Button wasn't too bad. I haven't seen The Reader yet, that also sounded good.

I also liked Slumdog, if you aren't squeamish...
