1. Reminds me of Hitler. Only one ball, and it was blue.

4. Nice wallpaper
The thingy on the left side of my desktop is my taskbar. I found it more ergonomic to have it on the side than at the bottom or top. I like having easy access to all my programs so I hid the desktop icons and put them all in the Windows Quick Launch thingy. As for the bits on the right, that's mostly for decoration and for the fact that I refuse to install Vista but I kinda dig the widget stuff. I use Rainmaker to get the weather, system meters and desktop notes.

5. So is yours
I just prefer a clean desktop. Note that even the trashcan is gone. I almost always have my browser open anyway so I get my weather through my rss reader. I access my programs through the start menu which I have organized just the way I like it. That way I don't have to go to the desktop since with only a 1280x1024 resolution my windows are usually maximized anyway.

And as you can see, I have the xp taskbar set to classic style. Gives me that Win98 feel. No quicklaunch icons either as it just takes up taskbar space.

I guess that's why they call them personal computers. :)

6. Yep
We may not be able to control much in this life but we can configure our desktops.

Thanks for the compliment on the wallpaper. I made it myself. I got a whole series of orb/ray wallpapers. If you ever want one, just let me know. :hi:
