Do/did you love collage?
I LOVED collage...In art class or social studies, I loved it as a student and I loved it as a teacher, an my students loved it as an alternative way to present their opinions and ideas.

5. THAT is an excellent and provocative example!
The image, the ticket "Admit One", and the story, with the specific words that show through, WOW!

And the composition as a whole, I love it! :loveya:

A great piece, I hope you've had exhibitions of your work, or publication.

Have you?

13. I could just look at these all day in wonder.
These pieces are so rich with bits of time and history.

There are so many more dimensions than one finds in even a great watercolor or oil.

If I entered a gallery full of them, I'd never leave, I'd just be there for hours and hours.

And, awww, thank you for the :* !

9. There are no rules in collage.
That's what makes it so kool!

I did it at ages 8-10 in Saturday art classes with pre-hippie art teachers, we just used found objects and cut out whatever we wanted.

Later we did it in middle school, in the early seventies.

As a teacher of at-risk youth, it was very liberating for students to not be bound by conventions of the "five paragraph essay", so it was a very accessible form of communication ideas for them.

12. I read up on it a bit
when I saw Heidi's works. I enjoy other people's art more than actually like.. doing it and stuff ;)

I see collages everywhere once I open my eyes hehe. Silverware drawers, toolboxes, cat and dog coloring, my desk, my bedroom floor...

19. This copycat thread has been elevated to high art and discussion....
With Heidi's and other's contributions.

You know what I'd like to see?

I'd like to see you write a poem inspired by one of Heidi's collages. And I'd like to see a Heidi collage inspired by a Peggy poem.

Huh, wouldn't either of these be sublime?!
