this one made me melt

:loveya:

the one with the girl and the baboon (?) reminded me of the last trip i made to the zoo. i was in the primate house and sat down next to the gorillas. a juvenile walked over to me and put his hand up to the glass right next to me. i put my hand up to mine and we just watched each other for a few minutes. it was incredible.

3. In one of those "why didn't I have a camera" moments, a Baluga whale spit on my toddler.
After a Seaworld show, we took my younger daughter, I guess she was three or four, to the glass tank, and a baby Baluga whale swam up to the her. He started bobbing his head at her through the glass, swimming so he was upright like a person. Then he swam up to the surface and spit water at her, dousing her, then swam back down and started bobbing his head at her again. She laughed and touched the glass, and he touched his head to the glass, then spit on her some more. I swear he was smiling and even laughing at her. Even after a couple of other kids ran up, he seemed fixated on mine for a few more minutes, until finally there were too many people there, and he swam off.

Coolest thing I've ever seen. :)
