1. My favorite everything has HFCS.
I'm not planning on living forever. So, I eat things that taste good.

10. that's my philosophy too - I mean you have to to avoid deprivation
But my metabolism is so freaking slow. If cutting back on the HFCS means I can get a little bit lighter, and thus be able to run the bases faster, I'll be a happy camper. I mean softball player.

2. I get plain or vanilla yogurt and stir in my own fruit
fresh or frozen.

Yogurt with half-thawed frozen berries--yum.

3. Have you tried the Fage Greek Yogurts?
The fruit comes in a little attached container. They are very good, and no weird ingredients.

4. SOOOO delicious. I can never go back to Dannon or Yoplait. I take the plain
greek yogurt (I actually prefer the Trader Joe's version but Fage is fantastic as well) and add fruit, nuts and agave nectar to sweeten. YUM!

7. Problem with FAGE for me is that it tastes like Yogurt
I actually don't like the taste of yogurt, which is why I liked the Dannon FOTB, it was so sweet it masked the yogurt taste.

9. LOL!
Kinda defeats the purpose, no?

:D

I love Fage (FAY-YA) with a little agave syrup. But unfortunately, milk products don't like me! :-( So, I don't eat it very often.

11. Well, I try to eat snacks that are more protein oriented
Cause I seem to feel more energized when I eat protein as opposed to carbs. And here my protein snacks is all loaded down with HFCS - which isn't even a good carb.

NUTS! Oh, maybe I'll eat more nuts....

18. All-fruit spreads and HFCS-free preserves are also good in yogurt.
I prefer fresh fruit in vanilla yogurt, because the yogurt is already sweetened.

If I have plain yogurt, I'll usually add preserves. It saves time, and it's easy to keep at the office.

20. Don't they have, like, three brazillion yogurts at Wegmans?
Edited on Thu Mar-26-09 05:38 PM by KamaAina
there's one nearby. I checked. I've actually been to it, out on Route 35. Try a few. Also Mom has a health food in Red Bank or Little Silver that she likes (admittedly kind of out of the way for you).

I've been on a Shore wavelength this week, since I ran into a cat-loving female from the area in GD yesterday. I was just thinking, "Where the heck is soleft? In Tampa for Yankees spring training? We might have the nucleus of a meetup when/if I get back up to Mom and Republican Stepdad's..."

Hmmm... the Grove would seem to be the perfect place for "Yogurt & More" or something, with season coming upon us...

edit: season is a'comin in...

23. Try Wallaby yogurt...
I stopped buying yogurts with HFCS but it was hard to find brands without it. My kids love the Wallaby and we have substituted it for dessert. May I suggest the Dulce de Leche or Maple.
