Gents of the Lounge: Facial Hair?
OK, "gents of the Lounge" might be a bit of a stretch, but what the hey ...

I sport a goatee and moustache. What about the rest of you gentlemen?

1. None
Due to genetics and an underactive pituitary gland (long story), I cannot grow much facial hair. It grows in "patchy" at best, and makes me look like a psycho serial killer at worst. Therefore, I'm clean-shaven. Which also works out, because I only have to shave every other day, and I tend to look younger than I actually am.

We're at Hal & Mal's tomorrow night, 8 PM. Check out our web page, http://www.brooksandbaker.com.

Top 40/Rock, and the keyboard player can sound just dead-on like Gregg Allman.

Jedi Clampett, just for the name alone!

There are lots of excellent musicians in the area.

I haven't had to wear mine and, I never knew there were so many types until I googled for a pic:

56. I have been fitted and I am even certified to do the fit tests
That particular model looks like it might accommodate some beards, but it requires special orders. I have had to wear mine in cases of patients with possible TB or meningitis. I have been fitted and trained on a variety of other types of respirators and supplied air breathing apparatus. Haven't had to use those types in anything but drills.

59. Nope
I started out with a degree in engineering and became a director of facilities management of a hospital. That involved maintaining buildings, the complex systems that support a hospital, managing a staff of 30+ and knowing all the various codes (including the extensive fire codes).

After college I also volunteered in an emergency and rescue squad and have spent over 2 decades and an EMT and a heavy rescue tech.

I left the hospital business when it was clear that hospitals were going to be seriously hurting due to the changing economic conditions. Government cut backs and HMOs have been killing them.

So I took my ability to maintain systems and went back to school to become a IT person specializing in network and desktop support.

Since then I have found myself working in small public health agency. I have since took to wearing to more hats. Besides being the IT coordinator I am also the Public Health Emergency Notification System Coordinator and I am a Medical Reserve Corp Coordinator.

I guess you could say I am a jack of all trades, or someone that doesn't stick to one thing very well.

I've never shaved it off.

For awhile I was doing the "soul patch" look, just because I thought it looked so cool on the actors on "Deadwood".

Currently growing my goatee back. I wish I could grow a full, thick beard, but only my mustache and goatee grow in good.
