but apparently that person was IRL friends with some DU'ers and planned a meetup and didn't show? I don't know, I thought the other thread was a WTF moment, but was informed by some posters there that they did indeed know the person in real life and were friends with him and that he hadn't been heard from for several days after the planned meetup.

FWIW I don't pay enough attention in here anymore to know if someone is here or missing and I have only met IRL one DU'er and we are friends.
