1. Oh I do that alot.
I would say going to Star Trek conventions and having a great time is the geekiest thing I've done though.:)

2. Wired up an R2D2 sound-effects generator and put the speakers behind my date's ears.
This was in 8th grade right after the original Star Wars movie came out - I built the circuit myself. And in the mind of an 8th grade geeky boy, it would CLEARLY impress a girl! Needless to say, I was wrong.

4. Going to a chiptunes rock concert, where people made rap and techno on gameboys
and you could play over 20 classic arcade games, or use one of the many wall screen projected video game s as well.

Nothing like drinking beer, playing Galaga on a 20 foot wide screen listing to some dude belt out rap to a gameboy, while his friend mixes it up on a SNES.

Plus, I'm a programmer, so I LIVE geek.

:D

5. Probably driving to Stamford CT for a LAN party with my gaming partner
and winning EVERY FUCKING THING IN SIGHT :D

(we gave most of it to the 2nd place teams, we had no use for 5 Sidewinder joysticks)

16. I went to see U2 in concert. My friend wanted to wait outside their hotel because
we didn't get to see much of them in the stadium. So I said yes..this is her thing but she can't do it alone so I'll go and wait. We waited for hours outside the hotel. Never saw them.

17. I've been to more than one Ren Fair, and had a good time.
And a few Star Trek conventions. And a couple of comic conventions too.

I didn't pay to go to the conventions though... not sure if that cuts down on the geek factor.

Was also in chess club in junior high.

19. I've been to a Renaissance Fair, a Star Trek convention, AND a midnight Harry Potter party
Edited on Fri Mar-27-09 01:45 PM by WildEyedLiberal
AND I was on the quiz bowl team in high school. And I've played D&D and Magic the Gathering. And I own lots of fantasy/sci-fi series novels, eg. Star Trek, Star Wars, various Wizards of the Coast series, etc. I could go on in this vein for at least half an hour.

Beat that, nerds. I win.

21. I attended the midnight release parties for the last 3 Harry Potter books
I was "lucky" enough to be working at Barnes and Noble for one of them. :scared: It was actually really fun, though.

I so wish my local theaters had released LOTR at midnight. I'd have been there with all the people in Hobbit costumes.
