I bought these cd's for meditation but it says that you shouldn't convert the sound to digital because there is subtle loss that impacts the way your brain processes the sounds.

I would still like to put it on my ipod because I just don't use cd's anymore.

1. A CD is already digital
but in an uncompressed format. Wav files are uncompressed, but some of the best semi-compressed formats are OGG and FLAC. There are others, but I'm not as familiar with them. I also don't know what formats the iPod will handle. I will be purchasing a Cowon S9 soon, and it handles many more formats than the iPod (or so I've read online.) From the specs-listing:

Audio: MP3, WMA, FLAC, OGG, WAV, APE
Video: MPEG-4, DivX, XviD, WMV
Photo: JPEG
Other: TXT

Lossless Data Compression

It sounds, too, like they are doing some kind of binaural beats processing. I've created that on my computer with two different digital sound programs (one of which is a free program called BrainWave Generator with the other being the no-longer-produced Cool Edit Pro) so their warning is probably just to prevent people from copying their product than any concern about loss of content ;)

Hope that helps :)
