I went there last week, its awesome they are an employee owned company, their wind powered treat their own water and use half as much to make the same amount of beer as a Commercial brewer. There super green and everything is free there, the tour the testers. Freaking amazing. Fat Tire is truely my favorite beer ever. Bier de Mars is quite good and those of you who like an adventurous beer try La Folie, wierd but oddly good. I also got a Tshirt a free bottle opener and gallon of Fat Tire in a bad ass brown glass jug that I took through airport security. If I could work for them I would love to work.

I'm nowhere near Colorado, but the brewery sounds very interesting:

FWIW, I just came home with some nice Belgian beers from Ommegang Brewery:

A bottle of Ommegang Abbey Ale, and a bottle of Three Philosophers.

:hi:

2. Maybe.
My oldest brother and his family live there and I know we visited one micro-brewery and had samples of their beer. I just don't know which one it was due to that visit being roughly 15+ years ago.

I know a lot of people love Fat Tire, and maybe I just got a bad batch the first time, but I didn't finish that six-pack of bottles. I couldn't stand it and I do like good micro-brewed beers and never touch the chemical-plant-sized domestic "brewers". Unfortunately for us Texans, our state has some exceptionally bad laws with regards to micro-breweries, so there are only six in the whole state. Other than Shiner, my fave these days is Real Ale Brewing Co. :)

some consider it blasphemy that i think that, but it is probably the worst beer offered by our many microbreweries.

i'm not sure how that's happened, but i really need to rectify it. new belgium really is an amazing company and, try as i might, i still haven't been able to get a job there. i think everyone in town wants to work for them :D

they do make good beers, even if i think fat tire is vile ;)
