A little bit of sympathy.
Robin Trower back in the day. This cut has it all, guitar face at 1:10, cowbell at 1:50, a singing bass player, and Robin's tasty leads.

1. Niiiice! I'm still a big Trower fan.
Still miss James Dewar! One of my favorite vocalists.

4. Dewar and Steve Marriott were probably the most soulful
white singers of their time. Both sorely missed.

5. Saw him at Winterland that year. Also again in
87 at a theater in Pismo Beach. Killer show.

Saw Ten Years After headlining in 74 at the Cow Palace. Little too much partying, can't remember who opened that show.:smoke:

6. Man, I have great memories of that tune playing on the 8-track
in my '65 Dodge van, heading to some concert or party. Yeah.

7. I'm surprised you can remember it!

Though, I remember the concerts I went to in my youth: The first one was George Carlin in 1974 at the West Palm Beach Auditorium. The first music concert was the Guess Who at the Hollywood Sportatorium. We got there in my friend's Mustang II. Remember those?

8. Sure do remember those Mustang IIs.
Had a girfriend that owned a '78. We hit a big rock lying in the middle of the road going up to Kirkwood and almost ripped the bottom off the thing.

Never got to see the Guess Who, but I did see Carlin around 2000 in Vegas.

My first concert was Tower of Power in '74 at Winterland.

10. *snort*
He makes some of the wildest guitar faces. Plus he's always bobbing his head, my wife calls him "the turtle man".

Plays like a mofo though, love that guy.:)
