1. Thanks
I'll check it out. Sounds similar to "The Taking of Pelham 1-2-3"

3. If you've ever ridden a subway late at night....
You can see how this sort of situation could occur, nothing unbelievable in it, but kinda cool for an older film.

4. I like those "forgotten gems"
Don't think I would want to be on a subway late at night though.

5. Some of the best movies just pop up late at night. "The Bad Seed" (1956)
Was one I discovered that way, 2 in the morning, twenty years ago.

It's pretty well known, though.

It's still just as powerful.

6. I'm trying to think of another one, similar, black and white....
It's got some low-life gang type kids, I believe they terrorized a wheelchair bound woman in her home.

I seem to remember that she has an electric lift that runs parallel to the stairs, or an elevator, in this two story house.

A rape is threatened or implied.

Do you know this one?

8. 'Lady in a Cage'?
(He said, butting in.)

Just thought of another one: "The Slender Thread" — Sidney Poitier as a suicide hotline volunteer on a very tense call.

9. I think that might be it, at first I wasn't sure, I needed to see if this kid was in it:
Rafael Campos:

The Slender Thread--I haven't seen that, I'll have to get it.

Thanks!!!

12. I also liked the unhappily married couple
who battled between themselves so much that Musante and Sheen pretty much just left 'em alone. :D

Hmmmmm... interesting. "The Incident" was a re-make of a 1963 NBC production, "Ride With Terror," in which Musante played the same character, Joe Ferrone. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0213196/

I have to wonder if Bel Kaufman saw that before or as she wrote "Up the Down Staircase," in which the school's bad boy was named Joe Ferone.

11. Saw that years ago. Musante was such a creep!
Such a thrill when Bridges beat the shit out of him at the end.

14. And sheen played a good role.
But Musante was the more evil of the two, IIRC.
