What technically or likely correct usage makes your skin crawl?
For me, it's using "per" as in: "Per the CEO's orders, you're all fired."

1. "Per Se"
Derivative of your pet peeve term, but it honestly disturbs me somehow.

3. The way in which most people use it irks me as well. But it can be used in such a way
that I don't mind (the narrower sense).

2. Can't stand that one
I worked with a guy years ago who used it constantly.

While it's not technically correct, using "corporate" as a noun bugs me.

4. Using "loan" to mean "lend"
We've lost the battle on that one, but I grind my teeth every time I hear perfectly knowledgeable people say, "Hey, could you loan me ten dollars?"

5. Two that are often heard on teevee news, particularly sports:
• "Able to," as in, "The Jayhawks were able to come back after being down by 11."

• A strange combination of tense and mood: "The Giants would score three runs in the fifth inning."

I dunno what it is, but teevee news fucks seem to have a problem with describing things in regular old past tense, like "The Jayhawks came back" and "The Giants scored."

9. Not so much usage as pronunciation
"Applicable" with the stress on the second syllable. It's acceptable, but it sounds like "lickable".

Yes, I have the mind of a second grader. :D

10.  "however" gets on my nerves
I know a couple people who will go on a long rant, then pause and say "HOWEVER...." (huge emphasis on the word) and then proceed to go on another long and rambling rant on a different tangent
