How world-wide satellite communication works (in 1952)
Pay careful attention to the details here. You see, satellites will enable people in the Ottoman Empire to communicate with people in Brazil almost instantaneously! Wow!

1. Message sent up from the ground and recorded in the satellite on tape
2. Message carried 'round the world
3. Tape recorder transmits message to the ground

Later we put on our rocket packs and ask Big Brother for permission to leave Omnibuilding City for a visit to the park!

1. Swinging a Conker!
Love it!

Conkers is a game traditionally played by children in Britain, the Republic of Ireland and some former British colonies using the nuts of horse-chestnut trees – the name conker is also applied to the nut and to the tree itself. The game is played by two players, each with a conker threaded onto a piece of string: they take turns to strike each other's conker until one breaks.
