Adventures in Pizza...
Okay, so last night was Earth Hour, so I thought I'd arrange things so as to reach a conclusion by 8:30. So I decide I'm gonna use my coupon for a $9.99 large from one of the chains, which shall remain nameless (but does not include "better customer service" in its slogan :P ). So I call, and then head down there (it's two blocks away)...

"Um, yes, I'm KamaAina, I called in a few minutes ago..."

"Uh, er, um, what's your phone number?"

(oh crap) "555-2368."

"Uh, errr... we have no record of your call... I can make that for you real quick!"

(OH CRAP!) "Fine. :grr: " Now I have to waste ten minutes at dusk on Saturday in a sketchy neighborhood -- but at leat there's a convenience store down the block to raid...

Back I come... (tap tap tap)... oh look, Dunce #1 is slicing up a large!... OH CRAP!!!! It's going to some woman named Kim! :grr: I know this because she's opened the box and is having it out with him for some reason... FINALLY here comes Dunce #2 with another large. YAY!!!! :bounce: Now all I have to do is get it past the street people who are starting to pop up 'cause I wasted 20 minutes dealing with these morans... and...

hmmm... this doesn't look like a large pepperoni... it's got other stuff on it, too! And no anchovies!! Kewl!!!... oh, crap, now I know why Kim was screaming at Dunce #1: they tried to stick her with my pepperoni while I got her deluxe! :dunce: :dunce: :dunce:

Well, what am I supposed to do, take it back? As I left, Dunce #1 was in the process of making Kim a brand-new, shiny deluxe -- so she wasted 20 minutes just getting what she ordered... I still have half of it in the fridge for later this week. After that -- well, I probably won't be checking the weekly shopper for their coupons anymore... :(

1. 555-2368 is the phone number the Ghostbusters used.
The sad part is, I didn't need to verify the source beforehand.
