Father/Son weekend - Bonding over beers
My wife went on a girls weekend to Vegas and I had our son fly down for the weekend. We went to the Dogfish head pub, a beer bar in Georgetown and brewed 10 gallons of British style bitters. In between all the beer tasting I got a chance to talk to him about his music, politics, his relationship with his girlfriend, his relationship with his sister and his plans for the future. With other family members around so many other things intrude and we never get to have a real heart to heart. I didn't feel I had to pry but just let things flow and find out who my boy has become.

I've felt lucky to get to do that with my son from time to time.
