Is there anything glamourous about being 29?
cause it's my 29th birthday today, and all that's hit me is that I'm hitting 30 next year.

2. Hau'oli la hanau, E popokikahakaha!
popoki = cat (lit. "dog of the night" or "dog of the spirit world"); kahakaha = striped or marked (not actually applied to cats as far as I know).

The mystery deepens: We have already established that 31 is not the number of tabbies who live with you. My next guess would have been your age when you started using the name. Next guess: 30 other people on AOL or something had already decided to name themselves after their popoki kahakaha.

4. Next year you are Twenty-Ten.
Then twenty-eleven. Then twenty-twelve. You don't have to start your 30's until you're 33, and by then it won't hurt so much.

You're welcome...and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

5. I would far rather be in my 30's again than my 20's
A lot smarter, dressed better, more secure.

Now the late 40's I'm finding are not quite as much fun. Nobody told me about these aches and pains. :grr:

8. Happy Birthday. And...I experienced nothing glamorous about 29. It was work, work, work
all the time. And worrying about the big 3-0, which I'm really not looking forward to.

It's the age when one finally gets a grip. It doesn't last but the feeling is nice.

Now. This 43-year-old says..."Shaddap." x(

Hee. Just kidding. :D

You know, I remember that I was completely traumatized on my 29th birthday--way more so than my 30th or even my 40th. There was something about marking my last year of being twentysomething that was very upsetting. But it turned out to be a pretty good year, all 'round. Hope the same goes for you! :hi:

22. Nothing. The thirties were my best decade, and pretty much everyone I know of my age group (mid 40s)
would tell you the same.
