I just talked with my crazy father (yes, he's crazy) and I wanted to share with you all the insights that I am privy to:

1 - Muslims have a Pope. He's just kept a secret.
2 - Europe will be Muslim soon
3 - Obama is a secret jihadist for the Muslim Pope
4 - Obama is gay (not sure how this squares with #3, but...)
5 - Hillary Clinton is still out to take all our money and make our daughters lesbians
6 - Sunnis and Shiite Muslims just pretend to fight, so 'Murika thinks they're divided.
7 - Obama has set out to destroy the US Economy, as part of his "Jihadist in waiting" program
8 - Taxes will reach 80% for everyone next year
9 - Investors are afraid of Obama, so they are "going Galt" (my term) with their funds until a good Republic is elected
10 - Hillary Clinton is still evil, EVIL!
11 - Michelle Obama is a closet Black Panther member who wants to kill white people

So, like you may read here, Glenn Beck and his insanity is just the tip of the iceberg here. My dad makes him look sane.

4. Write. It. Down.

Put it in writing, have your dad sign it or initial it. Make sure the wording is exactly to his liking. Put a date on it, too. Then bring it up every six weeks or couple of months or so. For example, "Europe will be Muslim soon." Ask him how that's coming. Has an imam replaced the president of France? Or the taxes thing. That will be an absolute rib-tickler come college bowl season.

Handled with humor and a certain resoluteness, you might - just might - get him off some of the loonier talking points. If, by some miracle, his brain clicks on again, his Fox News-inspired insanity might just vanish like frost in the spring.

7. Well, I've heard that "Europe will be muslim soon" meme on NPR, more or less...

In the context that Amsterdam has such a large Muslim community, it's conceivable that they could elect enough Muslim leadership to change the country over to Sharia law or some other "Muslim" form of government. I guess parts of France aren't far behind... and they keep moving in and having lots of kids, so it might only take a couple generations...

Their kids go totally Western (as is happening with the Euro Under-17 group) and disrupt their plans for Sharia across the world.

The secret about humans is the harder you push, the more return force you get back...
