3. Some of us don't look at those signs with numbers as curiosities.
They have words on them that say "SPEED LIMIT".

I don't want to get a ticket.

Also it is impossible to make a turn without slowing down. It is also impossible to stop instantaneously if you are going above 5 miles an hour. See Isaac Newton's laws of motion for details.

7. absolutely!
Given how wages are falling and everything else is going up, the last place I want my money to go is to the auto insurance company... what happens when you get tickets and accrue points.

I have plenty of other places to spend my money (namely, food, lodging, heating, etc...)
