My eyes are tearing up to see that some folks here know about the band Jesus and Mary Chain.

I thought I was the only one who mourned the passing of this incredible band.

It heartens me so to see some posts here by folks who recall this band. They were amazing, IMO, and I had the pleasure of seeing them perform after the release of Munki, and as usual, they were in form, out of their minds, and the opening act was Mazzy Star.

At that time, one of the brothers was dating the lead singer of Mazzy Star, and you could tell there was friction going on.

Anyway: Thank you to those of you who recall J&MC. This discussion of under-estimated bands brings back so many good memories.

1. I don't know how you couldn't know who they were if you grew up in the 80s

They were all over the place it seemed. I worked in college radio and we played them regularly. I don't think Psychocandy left my turntable for a whole year.

They also reunited again in 2007, and played Coachella. They are once again a going concern.
