17. Only on mlb.tv. If you have cable, ESPN2 is carrying it.
I should say, that is unless ESPN2's site is streaming it, which last I checked, they don't.

30. When I move, I'm totally getting mlb.tv
It requires a minimum 350 kb connection, and out here in the burboonies the best I can do is about 300. x(

But, hell — $79.95 for every freakin' game? Kicks the royal ass of cable or satellite.

31. Don't tell, but I'm buying it for my mom.
I'd love to have it, but she'd love it more. Happy Easter, mum.

Next year, maybe I'll get it as well.

18. I hope the Phils avoid the slow start this year
Tonight's game isn't encouraging. Their pitching might have overperformed last year. But it's still 1 out of 162 games.

28. I feel your pain
but I considered rooting for the Braves the lesser of two evils. I still couldn't bring myself to cheer for Chipper Jones though, you have to draw the line somewhere.

29. Eh, they kicked that tradition several years ago
ESPN wanted the opener on a Sunday night, and money trumps all. :eyes:

Dunno if you're old enough to remember, but it used to be that Cincinnati played the only Opening Day game, at home on a Monday, a tradition borne of their status as the first professional ball club. Everybody else started the next day while the Reds got that day off.

Trivia: Hank Aaron hit no. 714 on Opening Day, 1974 (my 18th birthday) in Cincinnati off Jack Billingham with his first swing of the season. They were off the next day and Aaron sat on the 6th, and was supposed to sit on the 7th so he could break Ruth's record at home, but Bowie Fuckface Kuhn told the Braves to play him on the 7th. (He went 0 for 2.)
