I have a pain.
Lower left quadrant. Kidney stone.

Now, I will be as clear as I can here.

It's a very bad pain. Kind of a sharp pain, that occasionally turns into a burning, dull, sharp like pain. Sometimes it burns, sometimes it just aches. The intensity varies from severe, to very severe, depending on my position and stress level. My over all stress level, as well as what I had to eat on that particular day, will impact exactly how severe the pain is. If I had to assign a number to the pain, on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the worst, I would rate it between a 6.14 and a 8.37....again, depending my particular situation on the day in question. I'm sorry, but I can't be anymore specific than that. Now, when referring to the "sharpness" of the pain, it is not as sharp as a steak knife, but it is not as dull as a butter knife. Therefore, I would say that you could correlate this pain to maybe a "semi-sharpened butter knife". So, if you picture those TV commercials where the chef is able to glide the knife through several tomatoes with ease, I would not say that the pain is THAT sharp, but it is still fairly sharp. To be perfectly clear, the pain is probably not as sharp as a recently sharpened lawn mower blade. Well, of course, that would depend on the skill of the person doing the blade sharpening, but I think you understand what I am trying to get at here. It gets a little difficult when you try to relate the sharpness of abdominal pain the the sharpness of a knife. First of all, your abdomen is made out of living tissue, while a knife is usually made out of steel, or a "steel-like material". I am not an expert on knives, so I am not sure of all of the possible materials that a knife could be made out of. Come to think of it, I suppose you could make a knife out of almost anything, even a ball of peanut butter. But really, would you actually want to USE a knife that was made out of peanut butter? I doubt it. What would a knife like this be able to cut through? Maybe a marshmallow, but that is about it. To be honest, I don't even know if it would cut through a marshmallow. Someone should do an experiment on this sometime.

4. Hi Dystopian!
My pain is much better this evening...I would say that it is down to a 5.3766, or maybe 5.3767...somewhere in there.

I hope you are having a pleasant evening.

I saw on another thread that you are feeling crabby.

Well, you should turn that frown upside down!

Smile, and the world smiles with you!
