So, TM wanted me to come down and take her and the roomies out to dinner. Of course, it involved some shopping. :eyes: (BTW, if anyone thinks there is truly a recession going on, you should visit Prime Outlets in Williamsburg. Holy. Shit. Couldn't find a place to park and everyone, I mean everyone was buying. They were farkin' giving stuff away at Burberry. But, I digress.)

So, we were in American Eagle and I was picking up some shirts for the boy. One of TM's friend who shall be known as TM Friend A came over to ask me what I thought of a particular shirt she was thinking about buying. TM Friend B came over and told TM FA that a cute guy was checking her out. Sure enough, cute guy, who shall be referred to as Totally Hot Pants Folding Dude, was really staring at TM FA.

We purchased and moved on to another store. I was sitting in a chair and TM FB and TM FA were arguing over the fact that TM FA should have given Totally Hot Pants Folding Dude her number. A lot of angst, "I couldn't do that. blah, blah, blah"

Me: Huge Sigh. "Do you want me to do it?"

TM FA and TM FB look at me and at the same time say "Yes"

So, I pulled out my handy dandy notebook, wrote her number on it and her name and headed back into American Eagle.

Totally Hot Pants Folding Dude was folding shorts by the door. I approached him and said "Do you remember that pretty girl with straight hair in the orange dress who was staring at you?"

THPFD - "Yes"

Me: "Here's her number. She wants you to call her."

THPFD - Huge smile. "Okay"

Me: "By the way, what's your name?"

THPFD: _________

So, I leave, all four girls are squealing about this boy and he texted her about 1/2 hour later asking if the only reason she wanted to talk to him was to get his AE discount.

So, they text back and forth for about three hours, all through dinner and this Friday they're going go-karting and for ice cream.

Moral of the story: Once your mom gets to a certain age, she is totally past the point of embarrassment. :thumbsup:

Oh, I tried my mojo on TMFC at the Bonefish Grille, but alas, no luck so far.

And, rougly 10 of her friends FB friend requested me since Saturday. :rofl:
