We just shocked a friend and I loved it...

Last week we had made plans to go to the shelter we volunteer for in Michigan. Unfortunately, Nature has a way of saying "uh, no." 8 inches of snow kept us home. I had tried to make plans to go up this past weekend but my "boss" wouldn't go for it. HIS boss, however, asked why we weren't going and he arranged to make it happen. Because of everything being last minute we decided not to say anything.

So as we got near the shelter I called Vicky. No answer at the shelter so I tried her cell. She picked up. We exchanged pleasantries. She told me she had just arrived at the shelter. We were two blocks away. Pulled into the lot as she was asking, "So did you get all the snow they were calling for?" We opened the door and walked in and said, "Yeah, got all 8 inches." The look on her face was SO priceless. I thought she'd pee herself.

I was amused. Greatly.

I'm living at my Dad's house (long story) and he called to see how I was.

We chatted, and I said "hold on, there's someone at the back door - stay on the phone with me in case it's someone creepy....

OMG!! It's some HUGE guy!!!!!!!!!!!!"

and then I realize the "huge guy" was him. Very funny.
