Wii game "Dance Dance Revolution": Uncle needs help fast. Niece's birthday this weekend.
Edited on Mon Apr-06-09 05:34 PM by Mike 03
My niece wants something called "Dance Dance Revolution" that goes with the Wii system. I'm completely ignorant here. There is something called the "Dance Dance Revolution bundle" which costs almost seventy bucks.

My question is this: There is some kind of important dance mat that is necessary to use this thing, and I noticed on one search engine it looked like the dance mat is sold separately for $18 - $30.

Does anyone out there have the slightest clue if the game and the mat are separate items?

To make matters more complex, I noticed there are two different versions of "Dance Dance Revolution." I have a call into my sis to find out which version she uses. Apparently her school is using it and it is very popular with the kids.

Thanks in advance.

1. My guess is that the bundle includes the mat and the game.
I think they are also available separately. But you can't play the game without the mat (I think) so if she doesn't already have the game, it won't do a lot of good to buy just the mat or vice versa.

2. Thank you for the reply. Once I learn which version she wants from her mom, I'll
get it and I have to believe the mat comes with it.

thanks

I just don't want to disappoint her. She's such a good kid and she rarely gets special treats anymore.

4. We have the mat
but I think you might be able to play it with a Gamecube controller or one of the Classic Wii controller, but to get the DDR experience, you need the mat.
