They have "Night Nannies" for babies
They allow new parents to sleep, while they feed their baby... eventually teaching the baby to sleep through the entire night. hmm...

Now I'm wondering if they have Night Nannies for cats!

1. wow, wish I'd thought of that when my child was an infant

 Rather than wandering around for weeks like a zombie!

The cats never kept me up like the kiddo did since they don't cry as loudly.

Well, maybe the kittens scrapping at the foot of the bed did, a little. :)

2. They charge $20-$40 per hour...
If I could afford it, I'd ask one to slip into our home on weekend mornings & keep our cats quiet. Until one of us wakes up in the morning (usually me) they get into our face(s) and meow, or stand on their hind legs and rock against the window shades, or knock over things. We've tried everything, throughout the years, with little success. It's been like having a newborn for 15 years!

7. Do your cats get fed in the morning? Automatic feeders might be your solution.
Our cats used to CONSTANTLY wake us up every morning, climbing on top of us, yelling, and generally expressing their displeasure. It was a bit of an investment, but we bought 4 automatic feeders, one for each cat, and set them for 6:30 AM. After a day or two, they never bothered us in the morning again. TOTALLY worth the cost.

13. Our cats have unlimited food
Always have. I wish it was something so easy! Thanks, though.

3. If so, would they stop them from running back and forth
across your head?

People told us to shoot it with a water pistol, and we did, but then we just had an angry, wet cat who continued to run back and forth across our heads at 4am.

4. You have no door?
We just shut the bedroom door on weekends. They get the message.

5. I've tried the water pistol & it worked for a little while...
but that was when we lived in an apartment. Don't want to get our colored walls wet. :-( As for closing the door? The little beasts just stick their paws under it and rock the door back and forth... it actually wakes us up more than the meowing. sigh.

12. They sure are smart in their stubborn + stupid behavior
If we ever got a handicapped doorknob, she would definitely be able to open it from our side - from the bed.

As it is, whe works the damned thing and works it and works it. We were wondering what would happen if we put velcro or something on the knob so she could get some purchase. She knows it's key to getting the door open, and just won't give up.

14. Smart little beasts, aren't they?
I don't mind so much until I get run down & really need my sleep. :-(

11. She throws herself against it repeatedly if it's closed
And will continue to do so for up to an hour if we don't open it. She takes a closed door as a personal affront if there are humans on the other side. And I mean THROWS herself against it, loudly.

At least running across our head doesn't wake the neighbor in a no-pets apartment complex.

6. You know, I had that idea a while back. My wife thought I was nuts.
Now she'll just have to fall back on one of the 1000 or so other reasons to think I'm nuts.

(Surprisingly, I didn't think of the idea until after our son started sleeping through the night.)

8. It's a good idea for working parents
I wonder, though, if it changes the way babies bond with their parents.

9. I could've used one of those last night. Ms. Bella has an ear infection
in both ears. Needless to say, none of us slept last night. She had 101.3 temp! Hoping tonight goes better. I am sure it will. We went to the doc and she got a shot.
