They have some good stuff. It is kinda high, but they have quality things.

1. I guess it depends on your need...
I wouldn't want to try shoveling in a WI winter without my NorthFace parka :hi:

2. I have what I call a 150% theory on NF stuff.
It's half again better than other goodies, but costs twice as much. :D

3. I have a NF insulating liner vest
made of what I don't know. It is fabric and very thin, not bulky at all. My brother bought me as a xmas gift sometime in the mid-80s. It's still in great shape and I wear it almost every winter. It's got metal grommets and metal zippers. I don't think I'll ever wear it out.

4. I only own a couple NF items.
But I live in both of them. One is the outer layer of my winter coat, had it for 11 years, worn it every year all winter, still in great shape. The other is a "furry" 1/2-zip layer, single warmest piece of clothing I own. I can wear it over a t-shirt in the winter and be warm enough, and for me, that's saying a LOT. :)

5. On the fence.
I've had a North Face rain parka for a few years. After wearing it every day in the colder and wet temps, it's wearing out. I looked for a replacement, but they don't make the model anymore. What I've seen isn't very functional and crappy looking.
