8. In Stranger, Foster founded the Church of the New Revelation

which fused religion and politics much as fundies do today (but did not when Heinlein wrote the book; he similarly foresaw the rise of vapid cable "news", etc.) Its followers were known as "Fosterites"; the mark of a true believer was "Foster's kiss", applied very much as illustrated (unintentionally, it seems) above.

similarly placed. That's probably what made me think of it.

You might even get to meet her someday, except that she is notoriously averse to going down to the arts district, which is in a rather sketchy area (you better believe we have sketchy areas!)
