Punxsutawney Phil keeps 'escaping’ from his den

<snip>
PUNXSUTAWNEY — The world’s most famous groundhog keeps trying to escape from his home, but he hasn’t gotten very far.

The animal who emerges to check for his shadow each year of Feb. 2 – Groundhog Day – is kept most of the year at the Punxsutawney Library, where he stays in a man-made den.

But library workers say the groundhog has gotten out of the structure three times in the past two weeks.

Somehow, the groundhog climbs into the library’s ceiling and travels about 50 feet before dropping into some library offices.

The good citizens of Punxsutawney go to the trouble of building him a nice den and what does the ungrateful little bastard do?

:grr:

Screw you, Phil.

But it's melted now and the flowers still look ok - I was worried that the tulips would croak. Hope you guys have a lovely Easter!

Won't stop the tourist to invade these parts in shorts and flip-flops, though. :rofl:

Tulips are pretty sturdy. Ours just popped open.

Yeah, the weather has sucked the last day or so. At least the snow melted. :crazy: I just want it to be warm, is that so wrong?

Also my kid was off for break at the end of March (the weather was actually nice then) and now he's off for Easter. I swear the kids never go to school! :rofl:
