Had a doctor's appointment yesterday with my needy doctor
and I dislike her a little more now. She wanted to see me in the spring because allergies will make my asthma worse. Well, I have mild seasonal allergies if at all and she seemed disappointed. She had a new pill and some eye drops that she wanted me to start using and she told me to call her as soon as I have any symptoms. She also said to me, "You were going to quit smoking (I wasn't), how is that going?" I told her I hadn't. She informed that she has something to help with the cravings so to let her now when I'm ready to quit and she'll write me another 'script.

I'm only surprised she didn't suggest giving me blood pressure medicine. My BP was almost perfect but you can never be too careful.

I did agree to a tetanus shot and a pneumonia shot but only because of their lower risk of causing autism.

I'm returning in 6 months where she said I'm getting a flu shot but she should know better after the last visit.

1. Dr. Mom
from the Robitussen commercials

is not a real doctor.

Just in case you didn't know that.

4. maybe doctors ought to listen to people, instead of peddling their own agenda

Mine listens, fortunately. We always have great talks.

12. Ouch
Edited on Wed Apr-08-09 07:29 PM by sniffa
I thought it was a great idea because I hadn't had one in over 10 years and my current job has me in unhealthy environments and I lose at least 1 chunk of flesh from my hands every week (some bad weeks mean 3+ chunks).

13. Ouch is right! You probably did a good thing by getting that shot!
I am not even sure what tetanus is, but I think it may cause lockjaw! Not good! :)
