Poll question: Harry Potter or Twilight?
Which do you like more? I like both, but Harry Potter. I find Harry Potter to be much better written, even though Twilight also has a good story with interesting characters. I believe Harry Potter ultimately also offers more to dig into, and doesn't moralize like Twilight. How would abstinence have an effect on a vampire's soul? Hasn't Edward done enough actually being a "good vampire"?

1. Neither.
Well, I never read any of the Twilight or Potter Series, and I never saw the Twilight movie.

I started to watch one of the Potter movies and it did not interest me at all. I turned it off after 20 minutes.

That genre does not interest me.

4. I'm on Breaking Dawn, and I'll see if I like the ending
I hope there's more to it than the big events so far that they have dwelled a lot on.

9. Hmmm....and what might Goblet of Fire and Twilight have in common?
Coincidence? I think not!

6. I like them both for completely different reasons

Harry Potter is better written, but Twilight has a plot as interesting as HP, but with a level of sexual tension that pleasantly surprised me. I've read both series and both has their highs and lows and (as usual) the movies aren't as good as the books.

7. I didn't find the Twilight plot as interesting
I think it's the characters and the tension you mentioned that make the story.

8. HP was more consistent throughout the entire series....
although I think it took HP a few books to really hit its stride.

I thought Twilight and Breaking Dawn were both great from a plot perspective, but books 2 and 3 should have been condensed and combined. I still can't figure out how they're going to make an entire movie out of just book 2...I get bored just thinking about it.

11. I like Eclipse more than Breaking Dawn so far
Edited on Wed Apr-08-09 10:39 PM by mvd
A lot will depend on how they wrap up Bella's new journey and the new member of the family (without giving it away too much.)

Yeah, New Moon dragged a lot.

10. Good gods, seriously?
They both suck. If you want a wizard, read The Dresden Files or Lord of the Rings. If you want vampires, read The Vampire Chronicles.
