Jack Wrangler dies at 62
Who was Jack Wrangler? Well he had an interesting life: Came from a Beverly Hills family... appeared on their 1950s Christian TV show... did modeling and appeared in many early gay porn films in the 1970s... also appeared in straight porn... married Big Band-era singer Margaret Whiting, who survives him. They married in 1994 and had a long love affair. Wrangler worked in theater in the 1980s and 1990s, developing several shows featuring Whiting and songs from her career including "Moonlight in Vermont" and "That Old Black Magic." Jack Wrangler was arguably the first gay porn "star," following years of anonymous, forgotten performers in the early days of the gay porn industry.
