Why do people "forward to all you know" stuff that rarely has even
a grain of truth?

Just today I got an email attributing a quotation to Pres Obama re veteran's health care and the VA, and it was totally false. It usually only takes a few moments to debunk this garbage, but why on earth would so many people gladly forward (often several levels of fwd) to everyone they have ever known plus a few strangers. I debunk, reply to all, then add to block list.

Because of blocking so many people, I am running out of folks to get emails from. I ordered some seeds yesterday just so I could get an email (confirmation) that didn't contain spam.
