I love the Easter Holiday...almost as much as Thanksgiving...

The weather is better, no presents to have to worry about. Just good food and friends. When I did go to church, I loved the Easter ritual...it was beautiful and hopeful. I don't go to church anymore so I'll just cook...Ham...a huge, juicy one...scalloped potatoes with lots of cheddar cheese...an apple pie...shrimp for starters. That is my part. The friends who are having this feast are having turkey and all the fixings. Lots of doggie bags and naps after this one.

2. Thanks, and you too! My wife is Jewish, so we just had a big dinner for

Passover, will finish the leftovers (a great beef roast)in time to do it again with a large ham with sweet potatos, Waldorf salad and asparagus on Sunday. I think she will make a spice cake, too.
Nap time for sure!

Neither of us is religious, but we dearly love the "eating holidays", and I will take any holiday I can get - Americans work too hard and have too little time off to really relax.

3. I love the light. Just saw a really cool egg decorating thingy on MS.

She wrapped lace around her eggs before slipping them into the dye -- wide lace just once around and fastened tightly with a twisty. They look beautiful when she takes the lace off. So easy!

I used to make jokes about Martha Stewart but the more I watch her, the more I appreciate how skillful she is. :)
