She had a yucky ear infection.

10. Ah yes, the glamorous life of parenthood, lol!
It reminds me of when my daughter was 6 months old. On the way to the airport she had a blow out, but I thought I was an awesome mom at the time because I had a backup outfit just in case something went wrong (I was sooo smug). I cleaned her up and changed her and all was fine until we were in the Chicago airport during a layover. The biggest blow out EVER. No more extra clothes in my carry on bag naturally. No longer feeling smug. It was so disgusting that I ended up throwing that entire outfit away...there was poo on her socks! Literally a full neck to toe blow out.

I cleaned her up in the restroom (other moms gave me the sympathetic sad smile and head nod as I sponge bathed her in the sink) and I put a clean diaper on her. So I'm walking through the chicago airport with a nearly naked laughing baby trying to find the nearest gift shop. I didn't find any onsies for sale so I made do with a toddler shirt that was huge on her. Naturally she spent the rest of the time trying to take it off. Other parents laughed while childless adults looked horrified and/or completely disgusted, lol.

Disclaimer: The flight was from Minneapolis to Austin, Tx for my father's funeral for anyone feeling the need to judge why I was crazy enough to fly with a 6 mos old in the first place. ;)

15. Oh no!! That sounds like an experience to remember.
The last time BElla had her blowout, I had no change of clothes for her and we were on our way to the doc. She was bundled up from the waist up!! :) And that was just this past Tuesday!! Shitty week all around!! :P

17. how old is Bella?
I noticed an increase in blowouts once Abby started teething. I know doctors say that teething doesn't cause other issues, but I have yet to meet a mom who agreed with that conclusion.

19. She is definitely teething. Her bottom two are almost all the way in.
She is 7 months next week. For some reason, docs hate to admit that one.

26. I saw that with my first wife (yes, I'm still in love with her)

She was so damned beautiful when she looked at any of the kids, and just let one of them squeak or even roll over in their crib back in their nursery and she'd be awake, out of bed, and off to check on them! Forgive me, Dear, I call it "The Bantam Hen Syndrome."

18. Oh, you poor thing. I well remember those days.
It seemed to me that when TM was a newborn, every single time I was walking out the door, I heard 'the gurgle' and had to turn back.

It does make one prepared for anything, though, doesn't it?

I pack 10 bibs a day because she is so slobbery right now. My diaper bag almost can't take anymore. It is stuffed to the max!!!

27. I have a question
What exactly is a "blowout"? I can gather is it has something to do with poop, but how is it different from a normal bowel movement?
Never had a kid, so I've never dealt with "blowouts"...

28. It involves the poo being EVERYWHERE!
It went up her back and all around the belly. It even got on the collar of her shirt! She should've been hosed down! :o
