Cat health question
Just wondering if any other cat owners have encountered this. My cat is 9 and has a problem with urination. It seems like he's always "leaking" just a little. Whenever he gets up from a pillow or anywhere, there is a small wet spot of urine. Sometimes even from just sitting in one place on the floor. I called his vet (I have a vet that makes house calls) and she told me that she thinks it's probably a bladder infection. She sent me some antibiotic liquid and I have been giving it to him each day. After 2 weeks of the antibiotics it's still happening. I'm getting ready to call the vet again, but I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem with their pet. There are no other symptoms. He is fully active and plays and purrs and loves just like always. I don't even think he knows about the "leaking" problem.

1. there was a thread here recently about similar probs in dogs
Best thing is to contact the vet. I do know that some infections in kitties need to be treated for a long time and UTIs you want to be sure to treat at that level before you end up with kidney infection. If you want to hunt for that dog urination thread you might get some idea. But keep on with antibiotics until the vet says otherwise.

2. Saw on the news last night a story about a woman who has a sanctuary for
old dogs and cats in her house. She said that just like people dogs and cats can become incontinent as they age. People get frustrated and put them down. She saves them and lets them live out their lives. They go through alot of bleach but she says it is worth it. P.S. alot of the dogs and cats live in her house.
