A bird died on the deck today, here at the Waldorf Cat Haven.

You see, Mrs. V. cleaned the sliding glass door last weekend. Poor cowbird killed its sweet little self by flying into the door.

We both heard it hit; I saw it hit. I went out to be sure it wasn't suffering. OH no, no suffering. Poor baby must've been gone before he hit the deck. I moved him so the cats wouldn't play with him; put him where someone (hopefully) can get a needed meal.

Oh, and the cats? I don't think any of them even noticed. I don't even know how many were out there at the time, anyway.
