7. Well it wasn't dinner, it was drinks. It went fine at first

but the - I guess he's now the ex, what the hell - the ex was uncomfortable and got very upset when a woman he didn't know "adopted" me and kept bringing me shots. None for him (p.s. I always get hit on by women. Always.) and he decided he wanted to leave. We'd only been there for an hour so I said I'd stay. He left; I stayed. I had a great time and was home by midnight. We've spoken since and he was fine but said it wasn't his scene. Well, YEAH! His scene is sitting at his desk doing mathematical equations, or drinking a couple beers while watching NOVA. He is a seriously classy guy and I was sort of hoping he could loosen up but no.

Yesterday he kissed me on the cheek and told me that, who knows, we might find one another again. Sigh. I know he's comforting himself.
