Could someone please surgically remove my shoes from my feet?

3. I admit, I'm a Dizzyland enthusiast
I don't blame you for skipping CA, until the update is done, I'll do the same (not that I have any immediate plans to visit southern CA).

One of my all-time favorite Disney experiences did happen at CA. A friend and I went there one day and rode Tower of Terror, the attendant at the elevator shaft noticed I was wearing a kilt and politely warned me to keep it modestly tucked in so I didn't expose anything unseemly. Since it was a Utilikilt, I had already snapped the modesty snaps to keep it down, no problem. We went back to the park three days later, rode it again, the same attendant was in the pre-show room and recognized me, even though I was dressed in completely different clothes. Needless to say, I made a stop at guest relations and gave her kudos for recognizing me and welcoming me back to ToT.

6. Oh and seriously, if I paid full Disney price to go to California Adventure
I would feel scammed big time.

There is no "there" there. Yes Tower of Terror is great but that is one of the few attractions that is unique there, that is not anywhere else.

They should not charge extra for Park Hopper tickets for CA adventure. Should be included in the same price.

7. I think you're right, there's not enough to do there
though with their expansion plans and the major work they're doing on the park now, that might change, though I'll wait for Radiator Springs/Cars land to open before heading back to CA.

8. We are on our third year of annual passes and have been to CA Adventure
only 5 times.

Our faves are in the OLD park.

Yesterday was quite fun. We had "chosen relatives" (not really family, but might as well be) visiting from Thailand, and we took them around the park.

Started with a ride down Main Street USA in the fire engine. Went to Finding Nemo, It's a Small World, Peter Pan, Dumbo, Snow White, Storybook Cruise, The Matterhorn, Space Mountain, and Star Tours before lunch. Had lunch in New Orleans Square. Then we did Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean, then headed to get seats for the parade at 3:30 (we sat for a really long time because we actually found benches). We headed over to Frontierland and did the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Tried to do Indiana Jones, but the ride was malfunctioning, so we did the Jungle Cruise and the Enchanted Tiki Room. Then we left the park for dinner. Came back, did some shopping on Main Street USA. Watched the fireworks at 9:30. We tried to head to Fantasyland but they still had it closed down for a long time after the fireworks, so we headed back to Adventureland to see if Indiana Jones was running. It was so we rode that, then we left for the night at about 11 PM.

That combined with spending 9 hours the day before at Universal Studios makes for a very tired family. Thankfully most of the attractions at Universal are shows, so it is not as much walking around.

9. It's a shame that Fantasmic! isn't being presented right now
I'll bet they would have loved it. It is easily the single most impressive show I've ever seen at any park, including other Disney properties.

10. they are doing Fantasmic on Friday and Saturday nights
Alas our passes were blacked out for both Friday and Saturday night so we could not share that with them.
