My favorite personal holiday is today - Easter Candy Sale Day!!!!
Got about $25 worth of half price chocolate today, my favorite day of the chocolate appreciating year.

1. You're so lucky I'm green with envy. DH looked last night, couldn't find any.
:-(

He made a grocery store run and saw the 50% off signs but it was all gone. He said there were lots of prefilled easter baskets left though.

3. Check your local neighborhood drug store.
Not one of the chains like Walgreens or CVS. Everyone hits those pretty quick.

4. I bought a little over $50 worth of candy.
Sounds like a lot but it has to last for awhile.

I have for myself several bags of Whooper Eggs, The Original Malted Mild Balls.

They are mine, all mine.

I couldn't find any big or medium size bunnies this year.

The stores must not have ordered so much this year.

5. We went to a local shop that makes their own chocolate candies
and fudge, then across the road to a CVS drug store. I think you are right that they did not stock as much candy as they used to - we found only one small display of leftover candy, much of it was the dreaded "sugar free" chocolate, which no one would eat.
There were several large bunnies left, but I came away with only a small one. My wife got the last bag of Robins Eggs.
