Spokane parks to detonate squirrels

SPOKANE, Wash. -- Spokane is having a problem with too many ground squirrels at the Finch Arboretum

So the Parks and Recreation department is going to use a special machine to detonate some of the 100 to 150 rodents that are tearing up the grounds.

1. Tunnels? Tunnels?

Squirrels make weird leaf nests in trees. I've never heard of squirrels living in tunnels. Do they mean chipmonks? They live in tunnels.

Like a marmot or woodchuck. For some reason there's a lot of them in Spokane parks.

7. Ground squirrels are pretty common in some parts of the West.

It's not fun when they decide to tunnel in your yard.
