I only made it about half-way though the first episode. You forget how much comedy is about timing. Unfortunately, the crew of mining ship Red Dwarf forgot... :(

Without the laugh track, it is different -- but it felt more like real DWARF than series 7 or 8, and in some cases even series 6.
Many classic DWARF episodes were filmed and later screened to an audience due to the special effects involved.
It was claimed they didn't do a laugh track because they wanted this production tightly under wraps.
But I liked it. It's certainly more true to itself than most of the remade "Doctor Who" of the last 4 years...
