Poll question: I made baked potatoes last night. Favorite Toppings Poll Time!
I did a saute of red pepper, mushrooms, and fresh spinach - that's the "vegetable saute" entry I'm thinking of, but feel free to imagine your own combination.

The chives and parsley came out of our herb garden ;}

2. I was going to vote just butter but then I saw fresh ground pepper
and since you specified that I couldn't choose either because I need salt too!

salt, peppper, and lots of REAL butter! :9

Although I have also had a version resembling a chili releno - cheese stuffed into a roasted green chili, stuffed into a baked potato (needs salt too).

3. Sometimes we'll just have a "loaded" baked potato for dinner.
Butter, just a touch of sour cream, crumbled bacon or real bacon bits, chopped green onion, shredded cheese, sea salt and fresh ground pepper.

If I'm having a potato as a side, it's usually just butter, sea salt and fresh ground pepper.

4. +1
years ago, the cafeteria at work would do a baked potato bar. The potatoes were HUGE and the toppings plentiful.

I never saw a topping on this "bar" that I didn't like.

5. I don't top them after they're baked.
I slice them lengthwise before baking, put a slice of onion, a couple of slices of bacon, and butter inside, wrap them in foil, then bake them. Trust me, you don't need to top them afterwards.

12. The only thing you have listed that I wouldn't put on a baked potato is Tabasco.
I like them with just butter, salt & pepper and I like them loaded.
