I'm so excited right now that I can hardly STAND it. I didn't think that I had even a CHANCE of actually WINNING this contest--I was hoping at BEST for the Honorable Mention prize, because this one is open to all undergrads and is almost ALWAYS won by one of the senior Creative Writing majors. I can't believe it. Holy shit.

I also won third place for an English 102 paper in another contest, but THIS one is probably the biggest, most important undergrad prize of them all.
